Awesome, right?

More housework. Backyard still needs prep for xeriscape garden, need to paint a wall in the kitchen then install some shelves, and finish a few hours of CE. Buddy is going to let me know how the Yeti rides, since he's taking it out this morning. He cleaned up the Nukeproof for me, so I can get that listed.
In about 8 years time all the weed barrier they use will need replacing, that's where we are now. Just spent 6 hours yesterday and today doing less than a 10th of what needs replacing.
Good news; I have a cool new car.

Bad news; my bike won’t fit inside like I thought it would. :banghead::rant::mad::disgust1::panic::shakefist:

So now I have to shop for a bike rack. And holy shit have hitch racks gotten stupid expensive.

Any recommendations ?

1ups are probably the best but have long wait times and cost a lot last time i looked.
Definitely a buy once, cry once, type of deal. Not cheap but mine has been outstanding. I bought another add-on and a replacement item this week and both shipped the next day so the long wait times might be over.

In hell. Welcome!
I just bought an extension for a 3rd bike and a few spare parts and it took less than a week for my order to arrive, so I don't think they are massively backed up.

Not financially speaking. And neither was AWD.
Fair enough re price. I do think AWD is available with the hybrid, btw: electric motor only on the rear axle.

They renamed it from i-AWD to “Electronic On-Demand All-Wheel Drive” apparently

Finally cooling off after some recent rain, so got an early start to avoid the crowds...

Charcoal doing so much better on verbal commands and hand signals, though I suspect Costco all beef franks as an 'attaboy treat may have something to do with it ;)

Saw this cow / calf pair early enough and was able to call Charcoal over and avoid them entirely... as they continued to make their way to shore.

Rewarding Charcoal with a frank by the bank for listening so well, when he saw some Church-going folks [visible below, pre-wet-dog shake] in their Sunday finest taking a few pictures with mom/calf in the background.

So naturally Charcoal runs right up despite several very clear "No. No. Leave it's." and gave them a shake...

He loves people just a bit too much still, though I gather a shock collar would fix that quick.

The cow looked to be barely 2 years old and skinny

I have found all kinds of river flotsam and jetsam but this was a first...

Pour one out for the lazy river bachelorette float broken up by yesterday's afternoon T-storms...

People sometimes tell me I should get it permanently attached,
But I don't know.
Even though sometimes it's a pain in the ass,

I like having a detachable penis.

Since I've had covid my lungs have been fucked. I had to quit smoking completely. My heart rate has been elevated also.

I've always heard that mullein is good for the lungs. I have smoked it before and found it to open my lungs and be very smooth. Instead of smoking it, I've been going out in the yard and picking the young leaves for cold mullein infusion water. I'll be damned if my lungs have been feeling way better. (Not going back to smoking though)

The Kuats don’t seem all that much cheaper… plus manufactured in China or Taiwan vs in the USA.

Smokehouse up in Winter Park. Drove back yesterday after a few days being a tourist.
Anecdotal, but I’ve had 2 buddies have their Kuat racks buckle after hitting some significant bumps while shuttling.

stupid? Yes. Happen with any other brand? Not yet…

So much for being a sports UTILITY vehicle. I hope it is at least sporty?

Get a generic hitch insert and build your own rack from 8020 tubing. Or forge one.

Only 1.5hrs of CE left. Only problem? Of all the courses I have left to choose from, the shortest is 2.5hrs. Dammit.

Got a wall in the kitchen repaired and painted for Wifey. Goal is to get her distressed wood shelves put up by midweek.

Local trail has a short steep roller in the middle of an S- bend. Recently figured how to straitline and huck it. Today I noticed a lady who had crashed at the bottom of it curled up into a ball as I jumped over her. Thankfully I cleared her with no problems.

Remember when I was bitching about the one I borrowed? I recall my criticisms being shitty boot space and underwhelming performance.

I remember. Because I called you out for innumeracy. :D

8 speed.

And the RAV4 cargo volume is 37.5/70 cu ft with seat up or down.

A 2010 Golf 5 door is 15/46 cu ft on that same metric.
