Slept 10.5 hours, with dogs piled into the bed for the last four hours. A king size bed would be much roomier but we just don't have space for it in our small bedroom...we've done the measurements.

Anyway, I need to shovel out a fresh 6" of snow and then go hit the gym.

Cal King in our room, bed frame had to get built in there. Not much room around it otherwise, but worth it.

Things to do this morning and germ tube for work this afternoon.

Also snowed over night here.

Supposed to get more snow today.

I had much beer last night. Not sure if anything will be planned today.

I was hoping for some warm weather and no snow, to go out on the lake again. Might be a week before it's rideable again.

Up early to make first tracks in fresh snow. Haven't been on the Hoks in a couple of years and *almost* broke my wrist tumbling down the chute. Key word being almost.

Shall likely blow snow, take the wee one out, and do more design work on my built ins.

I’ve used all kinds of solvents and even an acetylene torch to clean rotors and pads. But was shocked when the tech specialist at Hope said to just put the rotors in the dishwasher. Might give that a try.
I think people can overcomplicate this. Cleaning oil from a hard metallic surface isn't that difficult. Unlike a pad the rotors isn't going to absorb the oil. Unless you somehow have cast iron rotors.

Cloudy and just above freezing here means peanut butter mud on my trails. Gobs of snow on the local trails (above 2000 feet). I wanted to ride today, but am not in the mood for either.

I guess I’ll cut some wood or do yard work.

To be fair I have not had leaking issues since I ditched Hayes and Hope. So these days all I do is wipe my Shimano rotors down with 91% isopropyl alcohol. But back in the day fluid would get baked onto the rotors and nothing would ever stop the howling.

I found rubbing a little fine clay mud on some rotors does a good job of absorbing any contaminants and abrades a fresh layer of metal and pad. These days I am fancy and mix up some fine polishing powder I bought to remove a windshield scratch. Buffing compound works well too.

Yeah that sounds like it would work well. I’ve used toothpaste to buff out scratches in auto body paint and to restore the luster on pearls.
