Heading out for a training hike in a bit, with my poles this time. Hoping that the team ball sport contest on tv keeps trail traffic down.
Be careful if they have aluminium parts. The stainless is fine but the salts in most dishwasher soaps can fuck up raw and thin aluminium. Ask me how I know.
Went snowshoeing on the Little Otter Creek until I put a foot through the ice and decided to return. It's some work when creating a new path.

Total surprise powder day. It hadn’t snowed in so long I didn’t even bother to check the reports, 5” Saturday plus another 11” overnight. Was ridiculously fun.

if it's Winter Park I think they upped the total on remeasurement to 13" over 24 hours. some more days like this shall replenish the sad, sad base

It dried out enough today that I decided to ride. Thought I was gonna regret that decision when I turtled in my own driveway, bc I couldn’t unclip my downhill foot. To make the derpiness more derpier I didn’t just fall down onto the driveway, but fell down the embankment into the drainage ditch. Luckily no harm done.

Post-race kart strip rebuild today. Already had everything stripped off and the axle bearings in gas overnight, but even with Hannah cleaning the plastics and Haley cleaning the chassis, it still took over eight hours to rebuild it.
