ShortBusJames posted: I got more info on the race courses at Sunrise.
XC course is a 4.6 mile loop in the area between the campground and the north end of the parking lot. A great loop with three stream crossings, tight singletrack and some two track. Beginners should be doing one loop, intermediate two loops, advanced three, and elite four loops. Elevation is about 9300 ft, so be prepared to suck air. Sunrise is closed for the elk hunt till the weekend before the race so dont try to pre-ride before then. The facility will be open on the weekend before the race (same weekend as the Tour of the White Mountains) for their junior ski promotion so you can check it out then. The course is flagged and should be easy to follow. Just start in the parking lot and ride the two track up the hill from the north end of the lot.
The DH will have two courses. Elite/Advanced will race Sticks and Stones, RSP, Lift Line, and Nemisis. Beginner/Intermediate will race Arrowhead and the open area on the west of the lifts. Courses will be marked the day before practice. Practice will be Saturday only and lift for the practice day is NOT included in the race fee.
NORBA license is NOT required for the race.
