OK, so how's this for stupidity with regards to betting on the 'Bowl??

First off, wife and I both work at a Tahoe casino, so we're around gambling all the time, and gambling doesn't really appeal to either of us. That being said, we were both jabbing each other about making a bet on the game, since I wanted the Colts and she da Bears. So I go to our local casino here in town (avoiding the drive up to Tahoe), and make my $10 bet on the Colts and her $11 bet on da Bears. We just got home from getting "my" winnings, and I was paid $20. Had she won, she would've been paid $20.15.

More $$$ was probably spent on the gas to make the bet, then go back and collect, and the casino is only 6-7 miles away from home. Oh well, we also had a side bet on which commercial would be aired after "the kick-off" (she chose Bud, I Gieco). Technically, wasn't it a push, since da Bears ran the first kick-off back, then had their kick-off before the first commercial? Oh well, that only cost me her choice for lunch tomorrow.

Rocky/rutted/rooted trails to you!!!!!

Its always been that way.
I know how it's always been, but should it should remain that way, lame and unjust?

I just thought this game was a particularly bad example. Manning was fine and had some great throws under pressure, but Addai rocked it out play after play, and Rhodes had some nice plays as well. And presenting a game winning trophy to someone who had no impact on those games is absurd.

Agreed.

Do y'all know why he changed his name? It was just contractual disagreements.
But it would have been funnier had he changed his name to a sound effect. Would have made for better radio, but would have been hell to put on a cover.
