Are the straps good and tight, and have you tried any other mounts? I've never used the chest mount because I don't like the monkey arm look, but all the ones I've done from my helmet come out fine. Even the ones where I ghetto rigged some RAM mounts to my frame came out nice.

If you flip the go pro upside down in the chest mount, you should have a great angle for riding, and with less extensions you make a more solid ground for the camera so less shaking is done. Using the right video editing software you can turn it right side up and be happy :)

But i have turned away from the chest mount as it gets in the way of the leatt, and just did a side helmet mount, which i think is freaking awesome, you still can see what the bike is doing, and you see far enough on the trail when using 960p.
Just a even more solid mount on the helmet and even less vibrations since you body takes all that out.
check out a video of mine.

With the new firmware you can tell the gopro to record upside down so it looks normal on the computer :thumb:.

I've always just stuck it to the side of the helmet and shot in 960 like you said.

Now that I have a new moto helmet I'm going to take my old one and use the base that the gopro comes in the box on and find a way to strap it to the chin guard like this guy did.
. You get a nice view of the trail, the bike, and the camera moving with your head adds to the "immersion" or whatever.
