Borrowing my friends Kubota k008 to do some driveway grading. Having a good ol time but woke up to snow and now the site is muddy mess. Dammit, there is more dirt to move before the gravel can go in.

I only tried bladed spokes once - broke several on the rear wheel almost immediately. They broke right at the point where the "blade" started. Had that wheel rebuilt with regular double-butted spokes.
DT Champion DB have been the only spokes used on all of my hand built wheels for the last 15yrs. Not a single broken spoke that I can recall.

Cracked/dented rims are a different story.
