i like how people build 20" bikes on this site, and people dont give them ****(reguardless that it is a mtb website afterall), but when someone has a bike, that they like to have fun on-but doesnt fit into any specific catagory-they get flamed.

i think it looks better than any other 24 frame, good job.

Funny I thought Evil bikes used steel plate yokes before anyone. Actually I know they did because I met them at Interbike 2002 and they showed me drawings of it.
The evil yoak was only on the right side and was more of a extended chainstay/yoak cap than a fully formaed 3d yoak .

I know this from exsperince as I was the product manager for that bike for Evil from early 03" well into 04"

word, no hate. i'll bet this rig rides super well. looks like its built to be ridden, not to just fit into some catagory.

that's why we drink it here
I'm not saying anything bad about the bike, it's great looking and probably a blast to ride. I just don't think it's that ground-breaking.

The poster himself said it was a cruiser with a taller fork.

I didn't gather from the orig post that it was groud breaking? Just that it was 24s prototype, right? To have one of the first couple frames from a company would be something to brag about. In the end he openly admits that it's "in fact" a cruiser w/ taller fork. Not bashing on you wOOdy, just stating how I viewed his post.

COLLIER DE SELLE: 24 bicycles Double Cockring

The first time I'd seen a steel yoke on a bike was in the late 90's...either a "Blacksheep" or "Draco?" BMW apparently experiemented with yokes even before that. That said, there's not enough money or memory in the bike industry to worry about "Who's First?"

I thought it was a really creative way of achieving short stays with good tire clearance while avoiding tiny tubes and/or crimps. In Tonic Fab's experience, the yoke has been a challenging part to make nice looking and light. Installing it cleanly, especially at the yoke to CS transition, is also tough.

Grind plates, pegs, ultra narrow bar, and a "Double Cockring" is pretty hardcore.

Not quite how I'd build up a bike, but it could be just the ticket for someone. Seems to be quite a few kids interested in bikes like this..24's, rigid fork, brakeless and pegs, especially in Europe.

"Pro-Class" style rims look neat. Did you drill them yourself?

Also, that fron tire looks neat. Haven't seen it in the States..what is it?

SO MANY DIFFERENT EMOTIONS!
I've dreamed of that tire for so long, but I've only seen it in 26.
TELL ME WHERE YOU BOUGHT THEM!

I'm late weighing in but - lets not forget, this is the "BMX & Dirt Jumping" thread within a predominantly "mtb" site...I think the dude posted appropriately - now my worthless two cents:

Love it! It's very nice indeed...of course I'm a bmx/cruiser fan so biased to say the least! Rigid 24"s rock...

I was wondering what the frame geometry is on it?

Nice bike,

Couple of questions -

I have the same fork (except mine doesn't have brake bosses). How do you run the pegs on the 9mm axle? Yours is nutted on both sides I assume? Mine is QR. Is the 3/8 strong enough for pegs?

What rims are those? Look like my old Mongoose rims from the 80s. Are the holes all the way through? Do they use a mylar strip to keep the tube in?

What is the total weight?

That is because they can not warranty the frame....due to the fact that they are/were getting sued over that frame, some kind of copyright infringement. I cant remember who was suing them but I think there was a production stopage on those frames till the out come. And seeing as though it is no longer on the website I assume they lost the case!

Sorry for the thread derail!
