Okay if you ad up all the numbers listed you only get roughly 1:2 odds of dying from a cause given on the figure. What's the other 50%?

because they can't list every cause of death. They are probably just listing the ones that they speculate are of interest to the majority of their readers.

Hmm, in today's world, I think choosing to not vote Republican would be like committing suicide. We all know that God is a Republican, and he hates it when people don't follow Him blindly, so he'd kill you.

Right On! $300,000,000,000 would go a long way towards fixing our health care system.
Fixing the system isn't going to make people healthier. Maybe the system wouldn't be so broke if people weren't so gluttonous. Cancer, stroke, heart disease - all attributable in some degree to lifestyle choices (and I don't mean BS's choice to be a Bear's fan!)
