I've had 2 and they are teh awesomesauceness!Stink, give me a couple of weeks and I'll post up.
I have a new lizard on the way.
The first hardtail I will own since '96.
Like I said in your for sale thread...your bike is in amazing shape. Mine looks like death warmed over. It's been an awesome bike though which is why I have just kept upgrading it. I love how it rides and how it fits me...but this winter I'm shopping for a new ride.An insult disguised as a compliment?
How 'bout a helmetless drop to flat right after I bought it?Action shot (got any of those Stinky?)
Wow - nice... ridden it like that since? How 'bout a helmetless drop to flat right after I bought it?
The biggest I've gone is 10' down at the pit, but that was awhile ago. I'm getting too old and replacement teeth are too expensive.Wow - nice... ridden it like that since?
Is that the Slope Style? Mine is on it's way. Here's my orange beauty:
Just out of curiosity, did you consider going w/ a cove handjob? Essentially the same bike, but made out of steel in Canada.Sweet, I can play now.
It has been way too many years since I owned a hardtail.
Nice Chameleon!!Sweet, I can play now.

In the first week I had it, I did two long trail rides one of which includes a rough local DH race course on the loop. I went to a slalom course twice,
and I hit my jumps at my house on it.
It lives up to its name.
Super nice. I didn't realize that SC redesigned it. TT/seatstay/ST junction is sweet.Nice Chameleon!!
Hey Burly,Just out of curiosity, did you consider going w/ a cove handjob? Essentially the same bike, but made out of steel in Canada.
Let's not forget that an aluminum frame's larger tubes has more room for bee stickers.Hey Burly,
Yeah I did. Actually I considered every single hardtail on the planet.
I knew what geometry I wanted and also frame size was important.
I needed to build one hardtail, that was a slalom race bike, a DJer and a trail bike. The geometry on the chameleon was a little tighter than the Handjob with shorter chainstays, and my top tube is 22.5.
On a slalom course it feels perfect, but its a small bike on the trails.
I went with a layback post which helps some as well.
This bike was not going to be my main trail bike, bit if I was building a hardtail for trail only, I probaly would have ended up on a steel frame designed for trails like the handjob.
Its a VPX...had I known the Slope Style was coming out, I would have skipped the VPX and gotten that instead. Is that the Slope Style? Mine is on it's way.
