Got mine today, bro. Thanks. Looks like some good tunes. Like I said in the paypal note, I will be working on some Dwight stuff that'll be good. I will send them out to several when they are done. I plan to do the tx americana stuff too. Thanks again.

Didn't any of you ever watch "In Living Color"?

Don't worry stoney, not everyone is totally clueless :thumb:

it's also a bit of a mess...gotta get my cds back in alphabetical order and in the shelves once i am done ripping them. but that is my sanctuary, away from the kids and wife...plant my arse in the blue recliner, throw on some music, and get a mag or book. bliss.

I listened to CD 1 today. Definitely some cool stuff on there, and a couple tunes that weren't totally my cup of tea. But I didn't rush over and skip any of the songs, which I have been known to do with songs that really annoy me. I'm definitely a fan of stuff that I haven't heard before, so it's got that going on for sure. I am looking forward to disc 2 :)

I just heard a song from disc 3 on a Dell commercial, but I don't have the disc with me, so I can't say for sure. It is a musical bit with few lyrics. Most of which are "aaaahhhh yeah."

I still like disc 3 best. Solid stuff.

Bumping two year old threads: CHECK
Replying to threads with the word "PVSSY": CHECK

Yyyyup.
Sorry. As I explained yesterday, there was something to be noted. I think it's cool that two years later a tune that Narlus chose to use is featured in a commercial.

As far as p***y, I'm trying to get stosh to night ride. Tough love is all that works for him.

here's a picture of the laboratory, where the raw materials are kept:

And of course I see this post about a week too late...

Man, am I jealous! Great set up you have there. Mine is housed in a small den along with bikes, all my gear and other assorted crap and corruption. Look, you even have the "Maxell chair"- where's the tilting glass?

Would sure like to see some of those posters a bit closer up. Good stuff!

nice to see i'm a couple of years ahead of Madison Ave. as requested, here are some kinda crappy shots of the music-related stuff hanging up in my house. the glare was tough on a few, which is why they are at an angle.

art ensemble of chicago poster:

six organs/matt valentine/joshua burkett poster from time-lag:

savage republic flag:

billy childish woodcut, bicycle thief:

poster from aborted spacemen 3 US tour (they were gonna play the Rat!):

billy childish poster, exhibit in London:

invite to a michael hurley/sunburned hand show at poon village:

my other poon village shot came out kinda blurry, so i'll work on getting a better image of that one.

IPR Earth Day print:

thinking fellers/sun city girls:

cows:

chipboard cassette cover from SR (i've no idea where the cassette landed):

buttholes:

sebadoh:

wilco:

billy childish hangman woodcut:

poon village print:

not shown is a 20" x 14" photo i took (graciously printed by Echo) of Deniz Tek (Radio Birdman) which i got framed a few weeks ago.

i've about run out of wall space.

Not trying to bust your hump here but I'm just curious, what/how do you plan on talking to your kids about the LSD reference on the BHS poster? My parents kept me away from "adult" subjects as much as possible. After leaving home I dove into such things with both feet, luckily I was smart enough to know where to draw the line. Many of my friends did not.

good question. i'm sure i'll have to think about culling certain records (both for lp art, and content) from my collection as the kids get older...definitely some adult material there.

i always figure that education trumps ignorance, but not sure how or when the best way to brook that particular topic will be (certainly won't be a discussion for a few years, at least).

Thanks man! That's some killer stuff you have there. The Billy Childish works are great.

I do have a nice Butthole Surfers t-shirt with Coop artwork on it but I don't get to wear it too often.
