When I started this thread yesterday evening, for whatever reason, I thought I may catch some crap for it. Not sure why, but absolutely thought that may be the case.

Glad to see that I was not only wrong, but very wrong. I struggle with positivity from time to time, but am glad to see it alive and well here….

Wind back a dozen years before I met my wife and I'd drink socially in NYC, occasionally to excess. Nowadays - I'd be surprised if I had 5 beers last year. Two of those were with @Fool , so clearly he's a bad influence :D

I'm not looking forward to my move away from CO when it happens. I love my life here and the friends I've made. Every kind of riding I could want to do is accessible right from my front door. Our likely destination is flat, so almost all my riding would have to be "gravel"...

Hoping I can be happy through this year and the near future with this change.
When do you guys head out? Wife is floating the idea of visiting CO in May.

While I don't believe in abstinence for myself, I'd like to do my part to help my fellow monkey collective with their sobriety from drugs and alcohol.

So I am offering up my mailbox (and liver / lungs) for any "excess temptations" you want to dispose of.

Bonus points for IPAs, Porters, Stouts and reefer with fruity terpene profiles.

;)

My gift to humanity was abstaining from this thread

After 43 years, 5 months, 23 days of sobriety I don't think I have any of those left around to send you. But if I did I would

Late to the party but here goes anyways... Some of my resolutions started late last year:
1. Drink less beer (don't need one every day, keep them for post ride)
2. Do weights more regularly - it's been helping with my back pain, an extra session a week might actually help me be fitter
3. improve mental health hygiene - less time wasted on phone, maybe a bit of mindfulness too...

Thankful for...
1. My kids are doing well and learning the lessons were trying to teach them...even if it doesn't seem like it in the day to day, overall the trend is going in the right direction
2. My partner putting up with me
3. Having a job I enjoy, with cool colleagues I enjoy being around and I can learn from, even if they're younger than me...
4. My health... Breaking my back a few years ago and the up and down journey with pain management has given me an appreciation for the health I have and the ability to continue doing the things I enjoy...
5. Ridemonkey. You guys are awesome. I really ought to try harder to meet y'all IRL...

Hey, good thread. I won't go making any resolutions....life is pretty damn good. I am healthy and fit, and so is my wife. I've got a good job, good marriage, good friends, and two awesome dogs, and I am thankful for all of that. If anything, in lieu of resolutions, I'll cut myself a little slack.

2025 looks to be a good year, providing I don't go and fuck it up.

It’s a good thing you couldn’t ski today, you would’ve hated it.

:D
it's good you were already coming from out west, because getting from Denver to Summit seemed like a legit shitshow from the traffic patterns

I just need to find a good place to live. At the moment I am leaning towards renting something until my life is a little more settled down. I still would like to buy a town house close by but need to get my salary up.
