I'm runnig 721/Stans at the moment,I've popped three tyres off in a year and had another two flats + my Stans always seems to dry out here in Oz,even if I put heaps in and keep it out of the sun as much as possible, probably trips on the back of the ute(pick up). I'll be going back to 823s for sure, although I've only run normal 2.5 Maxxis on the 721s and havn't tried UST on them yet. I'll give that a try.

I'm running stans strips on my 721's, and just bought some 823's. I can't wait to not have to deal with all this ghetto bs. Granted a lot of the problems come from the kenda tires, but a real tubeless setup will be good. Especially the bead lock on the 823's. Especially when used with Hutchinson/michelin tires.

yea, i agree that it might not give the best tire profile. i tried armijns bike which has a 2.5 maxxis on 819s and was alright with them. well, you were running 2.7 kendas on your 5.1 weren't you? i am sure that would be much rounder then a 2.5 maxxis on 819s...
Nop, I only ran 2.5 and 2.35 kendas on my 5.1s.
I think, I'll stick with 5.1 converted tubeless with stans kit. Its easier to find the tire for that. UST tire are hard to get here. Might find that in Indons next week for the Oakley DH and DJ event.

do it like zure man, run 823's and a little sealant and normall tires, works fine. less trouble then a rim strip.
