Oi! Finally getting around to thermostat replacement + coolant flush today. Oh, and putting a rake board back on the house.
YO! 5 mile run this morning felt good. According to my blood test yesterday, my cholesterol is HIGH. Total count is 241. What the fuck?? That doesn't make sense....I eat healthy other than a dessert once or twice a week. In positive news though, all my blood counts are in the safe range and it's been a while since that happened (I have anemia).

Lil Mans bike got took. It was there when his mom left for work at 6:30 and when he went to go to school at 7, it was gone. Fuckers. So I looked online and they don't make his bike anymore. Redline got bought by Diamond Back and now they offer 1 freestyle bike, 1 race bike, 1 cruiser, and 1 big bike and that's like it. WTF.
So I got him this and it will be here next week.

fasting will only really effect TG levels. and that contribution to total cholesterol via remnants iirc is on the order of TG level / 5 if I remember my equations right. so it’s not a big contribution for someone like Phil who should have TG < 100 unless he had a meal immediately beforehand.
Sup homies. Thanksgiving van trip planned. Since I-40 is closed we will leave Asheville and head to Chattanooga, N. Alabama to ride, then on to Devils Den SP in Arkansas, and then a day or two in Bentonville. Should be a nice week to ride and get out of town before hitting the fam in KC.

The leaf spring shackle stud bolts are like wheel studs as they are pressed in on one side so they dont come out if the nuts are gone and the nuts are a locking nut and about half of the threads on the studs were too damaged from removal of the nuts
So I replaced them with grade 5 versions with zerk fittings so I don't have to listen to a squeaky tandem suspension.

almost done getting my workshop ready after the basement reno. I have less space now, and I'm tripping over the tripod base of my feedback sports stand. thought I'd replace it with the Park stand with the flat base... looked it up online. nope! not gonna pay that amount of money for a stand... ($800 for the base plate and $1160 for the stand?! no thanks) I wonder if there's a way to find a big steel plate and somehow attach my current stand to it...

Afternoon. My field hockey season is finally over. I do love coaching, but it definitely is a labor of love. My girls were great this year....the varsity girls were a bit salty that I left but the modified girls were fun (as fun as herding a group of 7th grade girls can be). We ate candy salad, pizza and danced away our sugar while I washed, dried and hung their uniforms for the season. Phew....Now off to help Sq-Earl with the deck before it gets dark in a few minutes.
