man i would love to do that race, or at least watch it...that stair gap would have been sweet if he had landed it

I bet a lot of people came up a little short on that stair gap... the ceiling can mess with you, kind of make you not get the air you normally would.

That looks like a lot of fun but after seeing the two recks I would NOT try to jump the stairs. Ouch!

There was some talk in the DH section of RM on tire choice for this race (in MN, I think?) - think 40 durometer sticky rubber tires coated with coca cola (allowed to semi dry) for awesome traction!
He hit HARD but it looks a lot worse from the helmet cam!
I wish we could do that here...we have 10 miles of interconnecting walkways that are much more interesting than that. We have lots of 5-10 step stairways that you could gap up or down, lots of escalators. It'd be crazy.
