So long story short, my thule pod is missing a top, and basically means I've wasted several hundred bucks unless I can find a new top. My dealer was no help, and Thule says on their website that they don't sell replacement tops. I've emailed them to see if they'll gimme some kind of "crash replacement" deal on a new one, but I'm betting no (I mean if they won't sell you replacement parts for your $600 piece of molded plastic...).
So my question is, what have people done. I'm thinking I'll head over to a sheet metal/welding shop this week and see if the can rig something up, doesn't have to be pretty, just work. Any tips? Alternate ideas?
