I have no idea where I am

Had an awesome time hiking with Honey Badger. We wound up day hiking and staying at the hostel instead of camping because it was too freaking cold at night. Hung out with our friend Daytona Mike who is managing the hostel. Even had our first date at the only restaurant in town. The food wasn’t good but the company made up for it.

Was also good to not look at the news for four days. Really needed a break from the election chaos.

Skis didn't arrive yesterday, slated for today. I guess I need bindings now, and then mount them, and then...

Otherwise, might try to get out for a groad ride this afternoon. Fresh air and pedaling is a good way to ward off the Black Dog.

Hi ppls

reading ultrasounds today. But before I dig into that I have an appointment just down the hall at the hospital with a hematology NP re my unprovoked DVT and all. will bundle up for ride in.

house painting should wrap up this afternoon while I’m working, too. Red over tan —> blue over white

slept well, opened a new bag of caffeine beans, they made for a very smooth mug of espresso. New AED Battery was supposed to ship on Tuesday, it hasn't. Good thing I am done with medical standbys until March.
Fucking furry tree rats chewed up the trunk savers that I use to hang up my hammock, had to order new ones. I might just order a tree rat pellet gun to take out the little bastards

I really enjoy when someone comes to my office and asks "hey are you in a meeting?", to which I lift my headphones up and say yeah.

And then they continue to start a conversation, as if the last exchange of words didn't take place.

started my day off with a coffee with a buddy who's also a colleague from another department. then biked over to return an overdue library book, then an Amazon purchase (keyboard that sucked) at a post office that handles such things. at lunch I will meet someone to purchase "rock skis" for my son. his nordic ski club has started making snow, so they will be skiing on crap pretty soon.

overall, a pretty productive morning, just not all of it work-related. though in a sense, it sort of is, since it was a work meeting, and the keyboard was for work...

tonight I will attend my oldest son's production of " Antigone". It's a pretty grim story, I wonder how these 14 year-olds will handle all that tragedy...

Morning Monkeys.

Taking the truck into Sparky's to get an estimate on fixing my left rear blinker. It hasn't worked for over a year, I think it's time. It's only 5 miles from the office, so I'm riding the CX. The wife said I should Uber, I told her this is one reason I own this bike.
