Up at 5am still fighting jetlag. Got a family of four viewing the house today. Fingers crossed!

Rain should stop tomorrow so I can finally get out on the bike.

derped out and went to my dr’s appointment a day early yesterday. Oops. Using that to WFH today and get some stuff done.

Found a yarmulke in my car yesterday. Must be from the previous owner. Engraving said a 1999 wedding. Weird.

Here. Had one of those "are you fucking kidding me?! what do you mean it didn't get done?!" moments at work yesterday. I get to call the client about it today, which is going to suck. It has been enough of a stress event that it kept me up last night. Fucking giddy.

Parent-teacher conference for Hannah this afternoon, then straight to the track.

Someone booked a viewing of our house at 7PM this evening...

At 7PM I want to be eating dinner and retiring to the sofa, not dealing with vacating for a viewing.
We have had few people looking so at this point they can come anytime to view the house!

7pm is stupid though. For our viewing its a whole family so looks like a serious case. Fingers and toes crossed.

Wife signed me up for a new gym a month ago, so I've been hitting the weights thrice a week after neglecting strength training for the better part of 10 years. I am already getting stronger after four weeks. Still weak as hell though. I used to lift weights a lot before I started running, and at my peak could bench press 225 lbs. Right now I can bench 95 lbs but trending upwards.

Insurance company claims adjuster is still not being communicative, however the remediation company is charging forward with removing damaged flooring in our house. They informed us of this about an hour before they showed up, so it was a bit of a mad dash to rescue all our house plants since we really won't be able to go into our house for a while.

Milton made landfall ~18 miles south of my Ma’s house in FL as a category 3. Her and her husband have been hell and gone for a couple days. They’re in central FL at his brother’s place which is a modern “hurricane proof” home. Talked to her last night, they’re all good and there's even a chihuahua in the house they're staying in.

His name is Poncho.

Pulled the truck and camper out to the street this morning. Ruth is heading out to take her horse out to near Sacramento for a competition. I will follow after work on Friday as I am the EMT for the Sat-Sun comp. Working on the Ambulance for the next two days. So espresso and out the door I go.

Long distance hiking and lack of trail maintenance has taken its toll on my upper body strength. Need to do something about it. Good in ya dude !

You should lift with me. You'll feel like Brian Shaw. My gym is doing a remodel and upgrade of equipment. Most new machines have independent connections to the weight stack for the left and right arms. My gimpy left is struggling.

When I left the Army, I did 78 push ups in my last fitness test. I would be surprised if I could do a legit 15 currently. But I'm 2 weeks into a body weight workout and I hope to get back to a proper 20 with ease. I don't expect to ever get back to doing more than 50, but a solid 20 on command would be great.

Dude, we are using the same build number. I've pointed out just how horrible it is to use a date stamp as a means of identification. It should be build.x.rc1, then build.x.rc2 so if rc2 has issues separate from rc1 they can be identified. If we suck so bad that we have 42 builds we tried to consider as release candidates, we at least know that and can build any of the 42 by calling it's number.

This truly isn't rocket science and this has been done as long as software has been built. But apparently our build system is so fucked, we can't currently support that.

Not using auto-incrementing build numbers and relying on just dates is teh dumb. Do they at least (somehow??) maintain separate source repositories for each "build"?

Also, anyone that labels a document "final" in the filename needs to be dismissed and escorted from the premises straight away.

glad you liked it-it's a bit janky until you know your way around. Let me know if you go back and I'll tell you about the pirate trails on the mountain! :brows:

Working...about to go drop off some supplies for folks in the hills. Planning to saw/ride tomorrow afternoon. Weather is top notch right now. Even @SkaredShtles would like it here!

Got some trees I need to climb soon due to massive widow makers from previous falling ops.

My new tree climbing/Arborist kit inventory is back up to the professional full-time contractor level, too bad my fitness is not. Most climbers are less than half my age.

Shot line with 3 bean bags (different weights for different heights)
10' slingshot and pole
Shot line folding cube bag
2 amsteel haul ropes @ 180'
3 rope bags
1 3-ton power puller
1 climbing rope @200'
4 prusiks
several ascenders/descender devices
1 set of climbing spurs
1 hybrid harness seat
2 steel core limb over lanyards with rope grabs
12 quick slings with Speedline pulleys
2 Stihl top handle battery saws
2 Saw lanyards
1 saw hook
2 friction savers with rings
1 pull saw

Considering modern man lifts will not work on anything but flat level ground, the cost of climbing equipment was not only cheaper than a lift or bucket rental but the only option for my trees due to slope, location and size.

Carbide saw chains arrived just now, off to the mailbox and on to cutting down massive stumps so they will fit in dump truck boxes, yay!
