Happy CrossFit birthday, @bullcrew .
Are you doing 50 burpees, pull-ups, Mr spectaculars, Bulgarian lifts, etc?
Lmao 52 today
Been in bed sick as hell and cancelled HYROX in Vegas...wife's taking her mom for a long weekend (she's running pro doubles and relay) while I remained pissed off that this is the 2nd HYROX pro in a row that I've been sick as hell...3rd one in a row screwed up if you count Chicago and kids partying all night long...no sleep.

So I'm staying here, wife said I'd try and run if I go , so she had me stay.. she's right...I'd rock that shit till my body gave out...

So I'll be hanging behind and doing sweat angles in bed, 52 toe cramps, 52 minutes of migraine before ibuprofen kicks in,

Today was really good. For context, drivers in her class that really know this track at at the low :54sec range. Stared the day at :59.5sec first session. Second session she was down to :57.1sec. We knew she was underweight and estimated it to be around 20#, so I put on 19#. Third session she was +19# and still dropped to :56.9sec. Fourth session we changed gearing for a better top speed (rear one tooth less) and put on the race motor, down to :55.9sec. We were finally able to weigh in and it turns out that she was over by 17#. Session 5 we pulled 14# and she was down to :55.2sec, actively racing with other drivers in practice. Session 6, the final of the day, she was completely exhausted but we still sent her out. :55.0sec.

Our teammate who also is in her class, spent three days at the track last weekend, raced it Sunday, and races full-sized karts last year has only gotten down to :55.2sec best lap. Greg and Kyle (the driving coach) both have her the best improvement of the day.

Her goal for the weekend is to beat Sawyer and to be around the top of the bottom third. She's in a hard field at her first national, so that would be a good first step. Practice tomorrow is timed, so we should start to get an idea of where everybody else is at.

The team makes pit signs for the racers for the national races, which is really cool. It helps with their confidence and gives the feeling of "I'm a real racer and a member of this top level team." The guy who made it misspelled her name and nobody will ever let him live it down. But he also spelled Sawyer as Saywer once, so he gets a freebie on everybody once.

I was also able to get 815 for the whole year, which is her number (15) but for her class. She's gone 215 > 115 > 815, so it was an important number grab for her.

you've been quiet lately. everything good?
Just really busy. Hannah is doing swim and gymnastics, Haley's karting is moving up a level, I'm working 10hrs+ daily, Wifey is doing RFPs and starting a new project, and I'm having to deal with MIL1 a lot more. It just doesn't leave much time for anything else.

hfbd @bullcrew - you and my weightlifting obsessed 15yo share a bday! hah! i should send him to you to train!
It's the day..tell him happy birthday that all of us born on this day are beasts..

That's cool..good to hear he's lifting.....tell him not to skip legs...legs are the biggest muscle mass and your gains can improve by doing legs..it encourages body to promote more igf for protein synthesis and growth hormone when you sleep..more so then the other parts...

I actually talk shit to guys at the gym with chicken legs..they all say the same shit..I do, they just don't grow...
Oh well shit my bad...I wasn't aware that your upper body will grow with lifting but your legs are apparently made of chicken DNA

Not sure how far away this is for you but I am sure these folks will give you a bit of money for them. Years ago my father told me he threw away his old stereo equipment, he nearly choked when I showed him how much his stuff was selling for. His old Pioneer amp had the most pleasing tactical feelings knobs and switches.

I just sent them email, thanks.

I'm in a slightly strange conversation with the proprietor. The next time I go up Burlington way, I'll take them up to him.
