I have for the last two season been riding the Trek XR4 Team Issue and they have been fine on my Trek Top Fuel. I can still find them. I am also looking at Maxxis Forecaster V2. Looking for advice and suggestion?

Most of the riding around here is very short down hills section. Mostly dirt with a few man made rocksgardens. From dry to loamy. I stay home when the trails are too muddy.

I've heard reasonable things about the forekaster twain. Here's a review that likes it as an in-between for the dhf and the rekon: https://bikepacking.com/gear/maxxis-forekaster-review/

I am a big fan of running a semi-aggressive front with a lighter and faster rolling rear. Dissector front and Syerra rear here, but I don't think I'd buy the dissector again. I like the idea of having three tires- in my case I've got a DHR2, Dissector, and Syerra, and can swap DHR/Dis or Dis/Syerra depending on terrain. Review above suggests that the forekaster may be a good substitute for the dissector.

Actually, I think I have an XR4 tire in the pile, I should try that this year for when things get quick
