Awake. Fall break for the girls, but work for us. Hannah to camp, Haley to free-for-all.

Killer day at the track yesterday. Haley made it all day, which means she's getting continually stronger. We also met a new photographer who gave us a couple of pictures. They are big, so linked instead of added.

CEL (P220B, downstream NOx sensor) on the truck is back, this time with a friend. P0128, Thermostat. Looks like I'll be swapping a thermostat and doing a coolant drain/fill here shortly. Joy!

The Laramie adventure begins...

Any CO bros available for midweek day rides?
Are u in Laramie for awhile? @Toshi seems to be able to fuck off during the week fairly regularly.
I'm throwing darts at the wall for the next 3 weeks - free all day. I'll be riding bikes and hanging out!
I'm free to ride AM of Thurs Oct 17, AM or mid day on Mon Oct 21, mid morning Fri Oct 25 (thinking Maryland Mountain for that one since no rock scaling work on Fridays), mid morning Tues Oct 29, mid morning Fri Nov 1. don't know my schedule beyond that yet

Stretched my left knee in a way it's not happy about yesterday when I slipped a pedal climbing. So need a couple of days rest to assess how effed it is. If it improves I'd be happy to give you a tour at white ranch one afternoon.

Lol, I'll need a few days to get acclimated and find my legs again before I want to chase your tires! We can make some action happen before I depart.

Yawn...I'm just getting my coffee. Ha. I work on India time. So it's like 10pm their time. 10am my time. Just kill me nao.

Anywhoo. @boostindoubles you up here? Ya man. I'm your man. I'd say let's start off with some easy peasy Berthoud Park, DJ's and VeloSolutions pump track. You want trails? We've got trails. Gonna make you jank to go proper fast, but that's how we roll up here.

Edit: Are you in Denver-ish? You know...The Erie Bike park is pretty cool. Way easier drive than to say...Berthoud or The Fort. Ping me bro.

The less birds you get when trying to merge on to fast moving traffic, the better. HA :D

Power comes back on right after I've finished switching over to our van/solar backup solution for the house. :/

I'm chillin in Laradise - my family is busy everyday with school 7am-4pm and I'm going to be in this holding pattern of wondering what to do today for the next 3 weeks. At some point my FIL will request my presence for hunting elk in the Snowys.

Visited the Ames monument this AM which was built in 1880 at the site of the highest elevation of the transontinental railroad.

Cool. On the Ames. Never heard of it.

Wild Fires be crazy up the the Cowboy country. We are even getting smoke/smog down here.

Did you mean Laramie? Not sure of a Laradise. Correct me if I don't know. I don't speak cowboy, HA

There is Curt Gowdy. That's actually really good stuff. From camping to boating to riding. Yeah. Gonna get too cold here sometime soon tho. Then there's the freezing ass cowboy wind. Burrrrr. So get your jam in. It is ebike friendly FYI.

Staunton state park? Never been. But the upper CO bros seem to go there. So it's gotta be goooooood??? That's probably more XC ish.

In between Wyo and I is a place called Soapstone Prairie. It boarders WYO and CO. Sounds as good as it is to ride. Not bad. But you could do it on your gravel bike. It's single track, so yay for that. Good scenario, easy trails. Just not for the gnar curious. If that's your jam, see Curt Gowdy.

Oh and for extra credit, since you're there. Visit Lake Seminoe. Just north of Sinclair, off the 80. That's a cool place. No trees, tho, but winter, so.... Plenty of antelope. Soft as ash tray sand and beautiful water. Oh and there are some trails, if you look hard enough. :D
