These locomotives in the Maine woods have fascinated me for years. I'm thinking of trying to get to them later this summer but information on how to find them is thin. Has anyone been to them and can share some of your experience?

Come see the MBTA engine terminal, you will see machinery of similar vintage in almost similar condition.

I have been into the Allagash a few times but never made it over to the trains. I think they are at least a 90-120 minute drive from Millinocket.
