Hey,

I've tried to unistall Ad-Aware a few times, which for dumb me means unistalling then reinstalling to try and get ride of the 'components' left behind. I can get rid of the folders, but I still can't get rid of version 5.83 or the UNWISE applications or the 'logs.' With 'Add/Remove software' I was able to unistall Ad-Aware 6.0 (albeit the Lavasoft folder with UNWISE was left), but it won't let me unistall Ad-Aware 5.83 because the INSTALL.LOG file is missing.

Now, I'm nearly useless with computers, so any and all help would be greatly appreciated!!

Did you re-install 5.83 or 6.0? If you can find the 5.83 installer I would try that. If that is what you have been doing, then Lavasoft has forums to, that may more helpful.

But, I cannot find the older version anywhere online, and the Lavasoft forums are erroring, so I can't log on.

Maybe try to find a copy of install.log online, and manually clear out the files and reg keys.

Just make sure to back up the registry first.
