A democratic run city within a democratic run state. CA the 6th wealthiest economy in the world. Instead of Newsom giving free healthcare to illegal immigrants, how about address the homeless issues in the state? CA has plenty of money, its just ran by the wrong side. Has been for years. Baltimore run by democrats for 50+ years, Chicago, democrats, Detroit, democrats. Maybe its time to look in the mirror and figure out who's been running/destroying these cities. Obama was president for 8 years and accomplished nothing in these cities. Give Trump credit for calling them out. Can't blame him, they've been fucked up and poorly ran way before Trump took office.

Come on John, that's a typical leftest comment when you know where the blame really should be pointed. For instance, the US government gave the city of Baltimore alone $18 billon in 2018. Trump called Cummings out on where that money went? The people of Baltimore said they have seen no change in years and its only getting worse. The problem is, too much democratic corruption there. The left says they are for the working class people, but in reality they aren't. Instead of taking the blame they are pushing over to the right side. Again, the city of Baltimore has not had a republican in office for over 50 years, so its kind of hard to blame the other side, when they have no control on where the money is spent.

As noted above, labels are of limited use. Local cesspools (choose a city, any city) are a different problem than the management of a nation as a whole. The current national Republican party has nothing to offer our nation other than theft and human misery. The "centrist" Democrats are also sold to the plutocrats but are less abusive in terms of creating and abetting that misery. Ms. Cortez, Bernie, et. al. offer some real relief; were they to win, improvement would be notable but temporary, because we are all insane assholes and:

Once in power, those in positions of "leadership" inevitably devolve to self-service.

Let me guess, everything you read/watch is not bias in anyway? Unfortunately most journalism today is based on opinions, not facts. So at the end of the day, it's where you prefer to get your source of information. I try to read both sides before I come to my conclusions and offer my opinions.
I don't get my news from ThinkProgress or the Daily Kos, and even those sites aren't filled with absolute crap the way the echoing holes of the right wing seem to be.
