I am trying to get back on the dh scene. I have riden dirt and flat land for years and had a sant Cruz bullit for a while but had to sell it. Well I want to get another DH bike but I have ages rookie questions. I want to find the right size frame. The problem is I am stationed in Germany and not that many people speak English.

I am 5"9' and weigh 200 lbs. Should I go with a Large frame or a Medium?

If there is a post about sizing can someone redirect me please. Thanks.

Medium or small depending on manufacturer. I'm 6'3 and my large is almost too big.

I am looking at an 04 Tomac Magnum. The frame is a Med. It looks like a bitchen bike.

Tomac may have sizing on their website, some mfgr's keep an archive you can access. If not, you can always email them, they will know best. However, I am 5'9" too, and depending on bike make and your own personal preferences, small or medium is going to be the ticket.

id be careful buying a old 204 Magnum. they had lots of issues and were completely overbuilt, even for 2004.

main pivot issues. they tend to get loosey goosey after a bit, especially if they werent well maintained.
the bike weighs a lot since the main triangle is so massive
