Judging by the amount of mud on his shoulders I'd say no.
judging by the fact that i've done this trick before, the answer is yes. face != shoulder. i don't have eyes in my shoulders. i used to use a toby henderson, but this is cheaper, simpler, and disposable. I used to race platty before I move to socal, and anyone who's ever ridden there knows what a mud pit it can be. When it rains race day thats about the only front 'fender' you'll see.

I wouldn't ride in the mud without one. and its free (assuming you've got a scrap tube laying around)

It works well if you do it right, the mud on his shoulders are from a digger earlier in that run, hence the fact that his rear d. is in pieces.

But think of all the air resistance you will be gaining from running this fender. I'd rather have muddy goggles and save an extra .01 seconds!
