You actually ride in that jacket when it is wet and humid outside? They work for me for hiking, but absolutely fail for riding, ventilation wise.
Mud is all seasons in the south

For general winter riding it does work fine, though. I also use it as my ski shell over an underlayer.

A lot of things suck in San Diego, but winter riding isnt one of them. I just get to wear the same stuff with a long sleaved shirt. or I wear a wool pendelton shirt if its real cold.
