Excess biomass evacuated.
Morning fuel ingested.
All systems are green.

Now what ?

Should probably go walk the lady dog before rain comes in and poop our snow coverage. :disgust1:

Time to bust out the table saw and start putting together some door trim. 8 pieces total, all to compensate for the fact that the door is 1/4" shallower than the drywall.

So the guy called in Friday afternoon and said back pain, couldn't call, am I fired?

They told him he could come back on Monday.

He had the balls to no call no show.

I will be working all day.

Bossman has tasked me with creating a new Sharepoint list for something.

Bossman has also removed me from full control of our Sharepoint site.

I sit here and drink coffee until he decides what my purpose is here.

Also about 2" of snow. School has been delayed by 90min which fucks the morning as Wifey will be in Denver and I will be on a client call when Hannah is supposed to leave for school. I've spent the morning getting my new laptop set up. It's more so Haley's from last year, because she needs a Chromebook this year, so low-end Lenovo that is better than my prior 6 year old laptop. Apparently if you have Microsoft365 and OneDrive set up most of your computer will copy over once you have logged in. A little scary, but very convenient.

ACK My eyes ^ SS too early for that.

why after 26 years does my wife insist of starting deep conversations within minutes of me waking up and before coffee? Then she wonders why I'm grumpy and not receptive to the input? :banghead: :banghead: :disgust1:
At least she quickly headed out to ride her horse and I can have my espresso in peace.

Morning Monkeys.

Had Wi-Fi issues this morning, had to remove and reinsert my USB wifi dongle and magic happens, nice work. WFH is better when the wifi works and stuff.

To be fair you were the one that posted your ass in Lycra in the lifting thread

I bet someone sticks the neighborhood plow in a ditch...
No yet.

But the FedEx driver has just spectacularly beached his box truck across the end of our driveway, the roadway and separating ditch by attempting a turn that wasn't remotely feasible even in the dry.

Holy jeez feels like I haven't posted in a while... life's been busy I guess. Since I last posted I built up my new commuter bike:
1733857609763.png

(drivetrain is on the right side!) it will never be this clean again! and can I say what a friggin pain in the ass fenders are to install?!?! if I never have to install another set, it will be too many. the bike is a bit short for me so I've ordered some weird riser bar that looks like a cross between an old Schwinn stingray bar and a mtb riser bar. We'll see how it does...

With nordic ski season in full swing (first big race is this weekend), I need to build a rack for all the boots - each boy and my wife have two pairs (skate and classic), I have three pairs (skate, classic and back country). I want to build something like this:

1733857163563.png

I bought fatter dowels though (1-1/4"). Thought I could use a spade bit to make a jig with a 2x4 block so I could cut the hole at the same angle and depth, but the bit I have won't cut a clean path and splits the block. Anyone have any ideas how I could drill a 1-1/4" shallow hole (to glue the dowel in) at an angle into some 2x3? I don't have a drill press...

You could pierce the holes flat into your 2x3 and mount them at an angle inside your vertical frame?

That wouldn't have happened if it had been my kid driving the FedEx truck. :D

Back pain has me working from bed without the working part. Been sleeping a ton in the last 24 hours. About to clock a few more zzzz.
Jeezus, man - the similarities to my predicament are kinda eerie. Looks like they may get approval expedited for me and I will go under the knife this Friday.
