In the Northwest.
My only contribution is that from talking to the guys at Thomson, they think people are nuts for running ti bolts on any stem because of the forces involved. I trust him because I've never broken anything Thomson.


Everything breaks.

(although this stem looks like it was probally overtightened at that bolt.

OK Im done.... Damn thats not cool. I was chatting it up with someone the other night regarding over tightening a stem and that right there KT is exactly the point that was brought up...
User error in more than 1 case unfortunently... Not always but definently a reality.

Cool! I've also gone into designing my own DM stem on Inventor and running it under the Stress analysis FEA program it has. Any imput as to how much force as a minnimun I should be trying and where exactly should I apply it?
450lbs at a 45deg downward angle from the steerer tube to start with.

That is awesome. I love the blocky look. Its still the next best stem to the Canfield IMO. Very sweeeeet though!
But it is a similar price, it's made in the States and comes in at 160 odd grams, clear winner.
