So, uh, his two year suspension was supposed to end this past Saturday. Anyone read anything on whether he can or can't race now after his implication with Operacion Puerto?

I had read he could race in the US, but he has 2 years remaining on his pro-tour suspension (4 year suspension). But it sonds like the pro-tour is in a bit of trouble itself, so I'm not sure what the that suspension really means anymore.
I have no idea what the whole Operation Puerto will effect his suspension.

Edit - I have effectivly added nothing to this thread. :-)

Millar was out for 2 years and came back to the pro tour. It seems to me like they are trying to make an example out of him too with this second offence crap?

Thats like saying "Oh you doped in 2004, busted. Your suspended for 2 years"

2 years later

"Oh we found the guy that sold you the dope that we busted you for in 2004... Your suspended again... 2nd offence, so, this time its for life"

Thats BS, its like they have some kind of V for vendetta against the guy.

I think that they're going off of when the suspension was official. Yeah, he was busted 4 years ago, but his appeals were finally denied 2 years ago. Lame? Maybe. But they really don't like him, and we all know that the racing game isn't fair...

I don't know about Puerco and Hamilton, since nothing official has been stated.

But Millar admitted his crime when he was first accused, stayed out of sight, and now he is even used in the Scott USA's advertising.

Hamilton fought like the devil with an unbelievable defense, and not surprisingly, everyone is still gunning for him.

I respect Millar for admitting to it, I think he did it right (considering)... but I dont respect the fact that they are dishing out different treatments to different riders... they seem to let their personal feelings influence the punishments... anyway, he did his time, let him race, they shouldnt put up red tape just because they dislike him.

I hope Tyler gets back on track and wins the big one just as a big FU to the UCI & Pat McDouchenozzle.

EDIT: Landis quote, thought it fit...
He said many who run the federation only want to stay in the good graces of the International Olympic Committee in hopes of advancing their careers there. "I'm NOT hopeful this sport can be fixed as long as UCI is running it. That's all I can say," Landis commented.

Rumor has it that Tyler is participating in a relay team at the Silverman iron distance triathlon in Vegas this month. Apparently there's a $100k purse for a fastest team under 8 hours. His portion should come in handy to pay for his cycling legal team.
