New vid!
I was greatly suprised and impressed by Ryan Gibb's 1st film,Suspect.
This guy bought my old Disco in '99 and got a few shots in the Down series. He's a goofy morman kid,who when i heard was making his own film it went in one ear and out the other.Well Ryan i am sorry i ever doubted you!Homeboy just graguated from film school.
This film is shot on 16mm and is filled with mad riding from studs like Super T,Mike Wilson and Russ Morell. Russ drops this 30 footer that is only 10 feet out making it into a 40 foot straight divebomb to the steepest landing imaginable, making my nuts climb into my stomach!!! Oh yeah-this must be the largest huck we may ever see on a hardtail.Of course Super T busts mad Flying Squirrel style remeniscent of my own kooky wheely-in the air-style over huge gaps that make you wonder just how much bigger this guy can go.And then he does the evil divebomb air thats gonna crush him and pulls them too.Matt Hunter(RF Freeride challenge fame?) does his share of awesome stunts as well.
He made it into the A- catagory, only beat out by straight A films with $100,00 cash money for helicopters on mountaintops like Cranked 5 and Dis 4.
Of course this is only my opinion, and i weigh heavily on filming quality-No shaky cam!!!
Hey an A-and i'm not even in it.
ChChCheck it out guys.

I must agree completely with the above review, I doubted Ryan Gibb's skills with the camera until I saw the final product. Very cool, I would say the best first effort film I have seen and better than many 2nd and 3rd tries from other film makers. Worthy of purchase for sure.

Kris, how about Decline mag calling you "chris crispy" in last months issue? pretty cool how they recycled old images from around the turn of the millenium. Exposure is exposure but don't print such obvious errors in a large circulation mag! Cool pic none the less, was that the mushroom?

Yeah-it was in Flow. That guy that makes the mag ,Roman, shot that in 99.It was indeed the 1st time i ever jumped it.3 degrees to the left would be Thor Wixom with his camera filming for Down.
Dig on the Endura Euro gear! They did give me multiple snowboard outfits and piles of xc gear thay was much less hideus.I even had my shirt tucked in!
White Doublewides and 24x3.0 Gazzys 4 ever!!!!!!!!!!!!

sweet! oops, yeah I meant to say Flow, I guess they had to use old images since Roman and Hauser went and started Decline and 26. I always get the names messed up because they all use large format and glossy covers. "Cool" riding gear for sure, looks very moto-x like all tucked in and everything. wow '99 I was guessing around 2k but '99!

Yeah it is sweet, I didn't have to buy it(since I won it in a freeride comp.) I would suggest buying it. Right now it is my favorite one I have, and none of the songs are crap. (by this I mean none of them make your head want to explode like on other movies.)

Good movie indeed.

I also enjoyed it greatly, we hosted a free screening of it up here in WA, and it went great!

I agree completely that it was an excellent first effort, tight filming, except for that slightly excessive montage about half way in, no big deal! Great soundtrack, I always cringe at all that death metal and other "hardcore" crap some of the movies play. I'm much more into the flow of a ride, and the progressive choices of music in this film closely matched the kind of stuff I hear in my head when I ride.

Good job Ryan, if you're out there, Keep it up! We have good trail out here in WA, by the way, if anyone needs ideas of new places to film!

Suspect was a great film. Ryan Gibb did an awesome job at it. I saw one of the premiers in Denver at the FlowShow. I personally like the Mike Wilson scenes the most. Soundtrack is awesome and can't say I really dislike any of the songs. My copy's even autographed by Dangerous Dan. :D

Roman has nothing to do with Decline or 26, it's Hauser and Hart. Roman is a pile and will not be able to come close to what flow was with hart and hauser at the helm. Sorry for the rant. Decline is the S**T

I'd be willing to agree with that except for the flagrantly unnecessary soft porn style glam interview with Tara Llanes a month or so back.... give me as a reader, and her as a rider more credit than that crap. No offense to Decline, we all make our blunders here and there along the way to greatness.

That said, Mountain Bike Action blows goats! Along with most of the other industry mags, but I did grow up on them, so like comic books, I still find myself irresistably drawn to them......

Krispy you are a great rider.
Ryan Gibb and Mike Wilson came to Portland and toured our factory. I helped put Mike's Astrix together for him. I had Mike try to follow me down our local drop, jump, stunt trail built in the forest on a steep hill. Scared the sh!t out of him. No trees in Utah!
Too dark, many trees and not enough places to get good footage. Ryan didn't film anything. Those guys were great to hang out with, Goofy, good times.

Thor put me in Jib2 though! Buy it next month
