Okay. So yesterday my friend and i managed to put my ghetto-ass p.o.s. dell mobo in a new case, using sheet metal to offset the holes (ended up very sick.) Now i have a problem with my video card. at various points across my screen, there are some faint horizontal lines going across it. very weird. my friend thinks when we put back in the card that i didnt push it in enough.....but i already checked it. what do i do??

What type of display? Analog or digital? LCD or CRT. What brand and model of card and monitor?

There are a couple of things that could cause lines. One is RF interference from your computer getting transmitted into the analog VGA cable. Another could be a floating ground, which is causing a similar effect.

Also, On trinitron monitors there is are two faint lines one about 1/5 the way from the bottom, one from the top. They are normal.
