Morning lads

I got my hands on a pre-production GT IT1 and took it up to the Long Gully trails in Wellington, NZ. A mate of mine who's a freelance cameraman/editor came along with his camera and we got quite a kick-ass little clip out of it.

Check it out here => http://www.vorb.org.nz/ftopict-24394.html

If Long Gully sounds familiar that's cos I posted up a link to another video from there a couple of weeks back - http://www.vorb.org.nz/ftopict-23548.html - it's a damn fun place to ride on a DH or FR bike.

Cheers

Cheers for the props. We're hoping to make some more short clips showing New Zealand riders and riding. Short is good cos you can share it through the web and I have the attention span of a goldfish.

man that is one of THE COOLEST tracks i have ever seen!

it is like what sea otter should be!

that huge stepup that you just clip the top of then right back down

RULLLLES!
I care about the Gay T,not because it's a mongoose Whore bike but because it MAY bring the internal tranny to the masses.
I'm not buying another big bike til it has a tranny.

Just messin wit ya BCD.

dude that step up is amazing.
how fast can you get going on that track?
That is the question - as you can see in both clips it can get pretty windy there (the valley opens out onto a very turbulent stretch of ocean.) With the wind like that it's hard to tap it out along the ridges. However, people do get hell pace into the "Pig Chute" (often with bad consequences - Pig Chute Crash Vid) and if you straight line the final straight you can hit Warp 9 (and puncture at the bottom.)

So we're guessing at least 60+kph - we really need to get someone who can pedal like a maniac, has balls of steel, and a big solid bike - fit a computer to their bike, take them up on a still day - and not let them off the hill until they've tapped 70.

the track is dope no doubt...

the bike on the other hand looked very long-legged... didn't make me want it any more, but I guess it's "mission accomplished" :-))) because we're sitting here chatting about it.

I wish! The clip isn't meant to be a advert for GT - we just used getting the bike as an excuse to make the clip. But I wouldn't say no if someone came up and went "ooh ooh film our new bike - we'll pay you for it and everything" :D

I've now uploaded the clip in Mpeg format as lots of people had problems with the Avi/Xvid format - http://www.vorb.org.nz/ftopict-24394.html
