been looking at both these bike and dont see alot of people runnin the 6.6 with double crowns. what are the major differences between the vpf and 6.6? ffroom everything i can tell there quite similar, and the 6.6 even comes with a 1.5 HT.is there any reason now to take the 6.6 over the vpf for dh'in?

I think the difference is Head angle and seat angle.

The 6.6 HT is very steep. Which will be go for going up hill. So I think if you really want to use the 6.6 for downhill. You better wait a moment for the 6.6SS or his big brother SOCOM.

The 6.6 is a longtravel trailbike, not a freeridebike. The VpFree is a MUCH bigger bike than the 6.6

If you want to compare to a INtense-fram you should look at the VPX instead.

To answer your q, no you should not consider the 6.6 for dh at all. It's a pretty lightweight longtravel trailbike, not a dh or freeridebike.
