wasnt it a closer race last year?
It was 120'ish going into Schladming last year, but that's not a huge lead given the way points are awarded at a WC. I think Minnaar's lead after the final round ended up being like 17 points or something like that.

this years finals are shaping up to be the closest since '01, but this time there are 3 guys who could realistically win it

having been there in person for last years race (which was amazing given the points situation and venue), I am pretty f*ckin pumped to be there again this year to watch see it all go down.

Hill up by 12 going into the best track on the planet, Peaty in the rainbow stripes for the first time... Schladming is a classic for sure.

My money is on Peaty. He's been having a great year overall, definitely seems to have his head in the game more than ever, and is coming off a victory at world champs.

Hill is gonna be hungry though. Definitely doesn't wanna let this slip away.

Wouldn't rule Minaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr out either.

One thing is certain: gonna be some exciting racing!

wow, women's DH, what a joke. 400 points ahead???
How exactly is it a joke? Sabrina has won all but the first race this year, good for her. I don't recall anyone calling it a 'joke' when minnaar had the overall wrapped ahead of time in '05, or Graves taking 4x this year.

Not a lot of depth in womens racing thats for sure, but the top riders are pretty competitive. would have been way better if Rachael was in the mix though.

I think you just answer your own question. Women's DH seems to be kinda a joke at all levels (well so is Men's DH to some degree, but that's another e-argument!). I mean come on, there are only 2 women who have a chance at winning the overall? And one of them gets constantly injured? And hasn't Sabrina won like every WC race this season?

as much as id like to see peat take the WC overall, i dont fancy his chances, I think we are going to see hill do enough to take the overall.
