I found a phone on the way to work, it had 1% battery, was locked and had no SIM Card.
I have no social media and really didn't want to set foot in an Apple store so I found a charger at work then waited till it got a Wi-Fi signal on the drive home then went door knocking to find the owner.
After attempting to use an iPhone I realised that I never ever want to own one, that shit is weird.

WHAT IT DO BRONUTS! The strap on my four year old Fenix 5X broke and Garmin wanted $50 for a new strap. hahaha lmao. I found a third party on Amazon selling straps for $19 for a set of two, and I could not resist this snappy orange one. 4.5 stars with over 2500 reviews. SOLD.

We have a mayfly or similar bug 'problem' at home. Jeeeeebus. I made the mistake of opening the front door last night and within the blink of an eye, there was thousands on the ceiling. Had to vacuum all those fuckers up.

Been trying to find a local weldar to replace a 1.25 hitch with a 2"...found some weird old dude somewhere who said he could do it, then talked to a friend at work who builds his own racecars, and he said he'd do it no problem...so hitch purchased, need to collect a few more parts, then let's see what he can whip up.

Class was pretty good yesterday, except for an underwriter that was trying to explain farm commercial truck insurance. She had zero knowledge of State and National CDL regulations and heavy trucks laws. Kind of angering as she is the final say on policy’s regarding those vehicles. Thankfully she works for a company that I do not represent. Calling her out in front of 200 people was kind of interesting, she went fairly Karen on me.

Only thing we'll be paying someone else to do will be the HVAC replacement and the window installation/repairing fascia and soffits. Otherwise, NFW could we have afforded even half of what's been done.
tomorrow is my daughter's last day of preschool. friday is her graduation. it's a little bittersweet, my son never got to finish preschool or have any of that kind of stuff due to covid. not that it really impacted him for elementary school.
i am going to miss driving her to preschool in the morning. having that time with her by ourselves.

Haley is pulling back on the gas kart since I told her *if* we buy one it will probably be used and for the race series up here, since more competition. She seems to want 1) a fancy new toy and 2) to stay in a small class where she will continue to dominate, despite not having much experience. Neither of which are acceptable for me when I'm laying down $4-5k. I will follow @Nick's advice and not get a kart this season and let her finish out her first season in electric karts. She's not getting the challenge anymore and the track is tight, so she's not really learning racing technique, but we'll go with it.
This child needs a damn sport and one where she will lose at times, else she will never learn that aspect of life. And that will make life real hard later.

Wife just called and said micro-dog barfed up what looked like blood as the girls were walking out the door this morning, so I'm punching out at 1 to take micro-dog to the vet. Fan-fucking-tastic. 
In the 31 years that I’ve been mountain biking a stem is the only component that I haven’t broken, bent or worn out. Even stripped out the inside of a steerer tube and had to use a massive headset bolt to compress the headset. But never any damage to a stem.

Stripped out an old Azonic block stem. But those were soft as hell aluminum; I twisted 2 as well.
Many moons ago a friend picked up a rando cheap stem for me as he was recommending a different length. Several years later I used it after going with some wider bars. In the middle of a ride on Mt. St Helens I noticed my bar felt super flexy. The stem had a crack that ran longitudinally and the bars became super easy to twist. That 3000' descent back to the car was done with zero weight on the bars.
