I rode Intense tire for the last 4 years, with no issues, just within the last year I made the switch to Michelin. It sucks cause I really like the tire.

so why not switch back to Intense tires...or are the Michelins really that much better?....D

Wow. Y'all a bunch of keyboard macho men. I must see 11ty billion more attacks online then when you guys are ridin with one another, guys meet face to face and all of a sudden turn into girly men?

Maybe it's just a bad season with breakage? Luck don't always work your way. I ran around yesterday with spokes loose on the rear DeeMax, haven't touched them in 3 months and I've ridden them that way. The rim still looks true. The hub however, we've taken apart and tightened, put back together, and now I'm back at phase 1 with a wobbly hub :mumble: Stupid bikes.

Btw, what about Maxxis? I haven't had Intense, tried Michelin for a little while. Holding the tire in your hand and pressin down on it probably isn't a real test, but my Maxxis tires sure seemed a bit stiffer than the Michy's? What was great yesterday is... I run 2 dollar inner tubes from Longs Drugs. I went the whole day yesterday without havin to ever change a tube as opposed to every other run before. WHEEEE.

No loose spokes rim is still true. I think I did it at the waterfall on Sticks, comming down is when I heard a loud BAM!!!

You know, I didn't see much affection between those two, not like they were holdin hands while ridin up the lift. Is there somethin you want to tell us bud, you jealous of one of the two? :D

Since this thread is already hijacked, I might as well ask a HOPE question. :nope: I've run the smaller rotor ever since I bought these brakes, and they always stop me just fine. I lock them up when I want them to. But I had such horrible arm pump yesterday, that I'm wondering now.. 205 mm rotor will give more modulation, so would that help with the arm pump? I think both arms were gettin worked up, but the front was mainly because of that shuddering in my front end. I'm thinkin it's the bent rotor that does it since it does it in intervals.

NORCAL is the hizzle
If by smalller you meant 160, a 200 will have 20% more surface area for the pads to grab per wheel rotation. This added friction will give you not just better modulation but simply more power. Assuming you won't be going any faster, it should take you less effort to stop, which should mean less arm pump. If by smaller you meant 180, there is still a 10% difference.

you should either change the caliper half to a #8 and with a 20mm adaptor go 205 or go with a 20mm adaptor whith what you got and get a 185 which will be fine.

Hey Rim breaker...

Sorry I didn't get to tell you this weekend, but damn, I'm loving my m4's. BY FAR the most powerful brakes I have ridden and I'm frickin heavy. Like ?90lbs... (sorry bulldog :sneaky: ) and they stop me great. The pads work awesome too... I need to get some more from you pretty soon for back up.

as for tire pressure, I don't worry about it to much. I try to run it as hard as possible in the rear, around 40-45psi and I don't flat that to often. The front is considerable amount lower, enough rinkle the tire and it hooks up great. At northstar it's all about the front tire gripage!
