What frame does this 12mm axle belong to?

So I bought this hadley-x721 wheelset off ebay and the seller said the rear 135mm hub had a 10mm axle. But then he sends me this crap: its a 12mm axle with frame "adapters" on both side. I have never seen an axle like this, anybody know which frame its for? Its for a 135rear spacing frame.... :pirate2:

2003-2006 dhrs used 12*135, of which that is indeed one. The frame accepts 12*20, so that reducers can be installed to accept a variety of axle diameters. Obviously, they ship with the 20->12mm reducers, but a few other sizes are available.

Could this axle without the reducers be used on a 150mmx12mm frame? It sure does look way longer than my M3 135mm axle....

Yeah, that's a DHR 135mm x 12 axle. It will only fit a Turner DHR.

What axle do you need? I got several laying around.

Sounds like you need one that will fit a 12mm hub, but 10mm dropouts.

Lemmie know. I'll swap with you if you want. I have 2 DHR's and can always use a spare axle.

What I need is a "10mm axle converter+axle" combo or just a Qr converter for a Hadley SDH 135mm hub. Or maybe the axle for a 12mm hub, but with 10mm dropouts your talking about would work. Got any pics?

If you got a SDH Hadley hub, I have the QR converter. Gimmie a few minutes and I'll post a pic.

What Revision # is your hub? i.e. 5.0, etc

Yeah, hubs prior to the SDH (H500 I think) had a smaller inner axle. Most the SDH are the same, but I have versions 2.1 thru 7.0 and the 7.0 are the same diameter as earlier versions but seem to have a slightly coarser thread. Thats why I asked your version #.

No problem, I have qr adapters for both. This pic is should be what you're looking for.

If you want, email me directly at mtbdad@gmail.com.

Yop thats what Im looking for...I would prefer a 10mm reducer&axle but I guess your using that one. Once you go to a solid axle, you never want to go back, except maybe for XC!

Old school, what grease do ya use for lubing up the Hadley bearings? I got some King ringdrive grease, would that work?

atomlab makes an axle that fits any 12x135 application, and converts it to 10x135. i have one on my sx and works grreat. it uses a 12x135 sleeve that 2 m10 bolts thread into.

azonic also makes one. but its heavy, its a solid peice of steel. a company called NYC Freeride also makes one.

ok, if you guys looked at the photo. its a step down axle from 20mm to 12. the old turner, ellsworth, and clifcat had models that used that.

Hadley actually makes the axles and supplies them to Turner. My guess would be that they did the same for Yeti and Ellsworth. So that would probably explain why they all look similar.
