Ok you lucky bikers. Here is your chance to have some real input into what an online Bike Shop should be like.

1. I need to know what your current fav webshop is and why.

2. What does it not have/do that you would really like.

3. What most annoys you about it?

Let your imigination go wild and post your ideas here. We are listening.

Thanks
Meccanoman...

Greenfishsports.com is good

Bikeman.com kicks ass

Webcyclery is good too

Speedgoat

And then you've got the usual suspects like Jensonusa and pricepoint etc.

go-ride is good but used to be way better. I liked their site because they had good descriptions of all the parts they had, and you could tell they had experience with just about everything they sold. The newer one is much more artificial and sale oriented, vs. created by riders for riders.

it's important to me that I buy from a shop that has good service. I don't mind that go-ride often doesn't have the lowest prices, because I know that there are real live people working there who I can speak with if I need help or recommendations...although not anymore. Still waiting to hear back from my last email....

I've ordered stuff from WheelWorld and have had no problems.

I wanted to get one of their leftover Kona Stinky frames but apparently Kona doesn't allow them to sell those on-line.

they are all yanks.

crc is the best in europe, prices are low and their range of goods is huge.

some other solid options are

hibike.de
bike-mailorder.de
mountainbikes.net

but in my experience, crc beats them all.

and you support kovarik by buying off their site!

But I have an unfair advantage in that I could actually drive to their store if I needed to. I've purchased things like seat posts, stems, etc from them via the net, but I've never bought a bike from them. That being said if/when I find myself in the market for a bike they sell I will look to them first and last.

The info on that site is amazing.

Jenson is o.k don't like I have to pay sales tax now, so I quit using them.

Chain Reaction is fantastic.

If I had to choose an online shop, I'd say Competitive Cyclist has the best gig, by far. Prices aren't the best, but for the average joe, it's pretty damn nice.
