What length/brand of cranks are you running on your Transition TR450? Been riding it hard for five days now, and I am noticing that with 175's I am getting a lot of pedal strikes.

So, you notice a lot of pedal strikes, on a bike with a low bottom bracket, while you're running quite long cranks? Genius.

Get 165, check sag... post less?

I rode a bike with 165mm cranks and it felt kind of funny to me.
I ride 170's on SoMo and have been fine, just gotta remember where your pedals are and pick appropriate lines, that's all.
You will get used to it.

165mm saints, i've run them in the middle setting and the low setting. Middle setting you usually don't have to worry about pedal strikes too much. Low setting you have to be cautious for sure especially when trying to get some pedals strokes in in the gnarly stuff.

I have a TR250 set as low as it will go and running 170's with slim pedals. 165's always felt a bit funny you just need to be aware of where your pedals are.

  • Green MRP G2Mini
  • 3M Moto Clear Protective Tape, maybe Pink
  • Continentals all the way!!
  • 9 speed, do you really need 10 speed for DH?
  • 165mm all the way. Well, if you are a hucker, maybe 175s.

Hope this helps you out!!:thumb:
