I was sure looking forward to his latest project. He got the new shop and the cnc mill, but no new frames I guess.

Really a pity.

Maybe it's the Lahar virus that gets people who build full-carbon gearbox downhill bikes. It might have got Lahr as well.

BCD was bought by Dorel Industries, and soon you will be able to buy long-travel carbon full suspension bikes at Wal Mart and Target.

yeah, it's unfortunate, but the custom dh frame business is a tough gig. talent & great ideas alone don't necessarily translate to a tenable business (esp. at the exotic end). it's a micro niche.

I think its the amount of time and effort it takes to build a carbon frame if you are a one man band. Definatly a tough gig.

hopefully we see the finished 29r gearbox rig soon.
