I need a light layback seatpost for the cross bike (27.2). Are there any cheaper, yet sturdy alternatives to Thomson? I find that most of the other companies make their posts with only one bolt. Are there any others that have 2?

look into truvativs team post. its light strong and about 1/3 the cost. it have a one bolt 35,, offset or a 2 bolt 5mm offset options. i have been running one on my XC bike for about 3 mounts now and i have no complaints at all, and i'm normally a seatpost killer

Thomson, can't go wrong.

Single bolts are not my thing when you are mounting and dismounting the bike (In CX races at least).

Edit

OOOPS, you said besides Thomson. :) What about the Salsa?
