I'm building a tabletop and 2 berm turns in the yard and have to have the dirt delivered and there are all types of dirt...

Is there a certain type of dirt that packs and lasts better than another???

What do they truck into the arena's for competitions??

I didn't know there were so many types of dirt...
:help:

teh best type of dirt would be clay. whenever you use is compared to crappy dirt you will notice a difference.

i personally would stay away from table tops. build i nice set of double's first. if you are new to dj'ing then start small, if you are going to get enough dirt for a table top you would definitely have enough dirt for a 4 pack so you can start learning how to pump. i have been to many trails and have yet to see a GOOD table top (not saying that there arent any)

goodluck and keep us posted

Wow you must be sitting on some cash, last time I checked just having fill dirt delivered was a pain in wallet. I'd say look ask around constructions sites and ask if the have any dirt that you could have if you arrange delivery.

Clay and moist, loamy dirt are both good because they pack. Here in SoCal we're blessed with sand. :mumble:
