I think I own like 10 MTB movie and I have hit every local premiere that has been in the theater so I would guess I have seen 15 or so total. Like a lot of other people have been saying it kind of seems like they are all more or less the same movie. I mean sure there is some progression but each move is 90% of the one that came before it with a couple new tricks thrown in. Then by the time the next movie comes everyone is doing the huge trick from the last movie.
It really isn't a MTB thing tho, its action sports movies in general. Skate, snowboard, surf movies all have the same formula. There is only so much you can do I guess.
*Actually come to think of it snowboard movies are probably the worst. It is like there is a template the use: 10 minutes backcountry, 10 minutes park, 10 minutes handrails in the back of some school playground or something, 10 minutes halfpipe, 10 minutes random jackassery.
