Looking for an used medium frame, the hardtail is killing me, any suggestions on where to look other than eBay, RM or MTBR Classifieds?

Have you considered checking out the PricePoint brand frames (Sette?) One of the guys I ride with got one (a Flite) and he transferred parts from his broken frame. So far so good.
Otherwise, I'm with Arkayne...check Craigslist. You can also search crazedlist.org and can search more areas for the same items.

Can you tell me the size/type of the front mech and what kind of headset it uses?
Dang... I can't really. Maybe check the Giant website for specs? My headset is a Cane Creek & the front mech is a top-pull XT... does that help?
It does a bit, found that it uses a semi integrated headset but nothing very usefull.
Call Cane Creek directly - those guys are SUPER helpful...

Finally finished the build and took it for a spin on a near by trail. Happy with the result but a fork replacement is in her near future (when bike funds become available).
The front mech is 34.9 top pull bottom swing and the headset is FSA but sold as a Giant replacement part.
Even matches my truck color
The downside is that my son took it around the block and told me that he wants it
