I have a 24" Haro BMX cruiser. I am putting a front linear brake on it. I already have the adaptor (Dimension brake adaptor) and the levers/cables/housing. I just need a brake. Which Tektro should I get?

Tektro BX25 BMX Linear Pull
Tektro 930Al BMX Linear Pull
Tektro BX3V Mini BMX Linear Pull

Also, putting a fat 2.1 Small Block 8 tire on it so its fat and not sure if the mini would work.

i second Fly they are the best 990 style I have ever used. When I get my CR24 that is the first thing I am changing, putting on a Fly rear brake and the shorter cranks 170s instead of the 180s the come on it. why do you need a front brake anyway, all you need is a good rear stopper. Tektro tends to be of poor quality.

You can pick up an ACS Boa on ebay for around $10.

You may have to drill out the hole in the fork though, the ACS has a 10mm post.

you must be old school to recommend a BOA. (i know cuz i am !!) everyone stopped using caliper brakes the second Krt Schmidt or whoever it was on the Standard Team rigged up a front 990 circa 1993.

Guilty as charged! Hell, I had a boa on my bmx last summer....
The 990 is better for sure, but I have a feeling that the adapter plate might negate the advantages of it enough to make the caliper brake a decent contender....
