Does anyone have any recommendations for bibs? I'm thinking something in the sub $150 range.

What do you like?

Has anyone tried the Ibex wool bibs? I really like my swobo jersey, so I'm leaning in that direction.

Thanks!

hmmm....maybe a better question is: what do you NOT like?

i vote these nashbar shorts I cheaped out on. I knew it was stupid to cheap out on something like that, but how would I know what good is if I don't know what bad is? :imstupid:

Buy the best chamois you can, but of course all fit differently.

Personally, I would stay away from Descente, they just haven't gotten their chamois size/density/feel/placement dialed yet, which is very surprising. The most uncomfortable shorts I own are Descentes.

I like my Pearls with the 3D chamois, but they're a few years old, and I don't use them anymore as they're branded with a competitor company. Hincapie makes good stuff, I'd check them out, Craft is solid as well. All good options...

thanks James

are those Hammer shorts any good? normally i'd be turned off by the big logos, but i wear shorts over them
Bergamo makes decent stuff, but surely you can find a deal on some non-branded Bergamo bibs?
I think Colorado Cyclist is having a big clothing sale right now, check them out maybe?

is a $360 bib worth it? I was just on Competitive Cyclist and they have some Assos stuff for an amazing amount of loot! Yikes!

It's actually pretty damn incredible what that stuff goes for. Assos is nice, really nice, but it's not *that* much nicer than the top stuff from some other brands, Craft, etc. It's a matter of perception: the stuff costs a lot more, so it must be nicer, right?

guys at the shop recommended Capo over Pearl...specifically Capo Gavia. So I bought one today. My first bib short.
