I'm looking to pick up an MKS chain tensioner for my Mob, which has ~6mm/0.25" wide dropouts. The question is, will the MX model (for 8mm dropouts) have enough thread for me to slam the wheel forward in the dropouts as much as possible? Anyone have experience with this combo?

I rock the 8mm version on my superco, but the superco has shorter dropouts then the black market. They are so short that I had to grind the tensioner to get it to tighten up enough. It's a very slick little tensioner once you get it dialed.

Anyway, you should be fine with the 8mm.

If you're slamming the wheel try just slipping some little shims in front of the axle. Free and light as hell.
