i'll pass. i've had enough of roman history from taking latin. not that i'm expecting the show to be 100% historically accurate.
Have to wait for it to comeout on dvd.
I'm all over it. Been watching season 1 in HD for the last couple of weeks. I'm going to miss Ciarán Hinds.
I'm sure Marc Anthony is funny....Mark Antony on the other hand.....

Very. Loved the part at the end where Vorenus is splattered with blood and says, "He isn't coming" with that deadpan look on his face.
If you can't wait for "300" then read the book Fire At The Gates from which the movie is derived.
Or you could get your hands on the graphic novel "300" by Frank Miller....but that's just me....
Side note: It's 'Gates of Fire' by Steven Pressfield.

They never are. Hell I wouldn't expct the show to be even 50% accurate. (Can't do any worse than Braveheart, though!)Accuracy is very difficult to achieve even for living history groups. Roman enthusiasts are at least lucky in that the Romans wrote everything down.
I can get you in some Roman armour and into battle. There's a Roman reenactment group within the larger group that I play in. They are really good too. Roman tents, armour, costume, encampment, etc. These guys march like Romans too.
