Dam that's inviting. I have no DH bike right at this moment.....but-
There are riders there on the weekends either trail building usually, or riding if it's good trail conditions. Saturday is going to be nice weather,i would just show up..
Its never good to show up at Windrock without a back up plan.
There may very well be a few guys that will gladlly give him a few bucks to abuse his truck for a shuttle. But.......To just show up, What if Joey and the guys are doing trail work ALL weekend. Then this guy is stuck with no one to ride with or no one to shuttle with.
Plus the locals dont want ANYONE to just show up with hopes to jump on there shuttle. Hell I have Joeys phone number on speed dail, I have been riding up there with him for 3 years. I STILL call and ask if I can jump in. I am not trying to flame you but.... Its just not a good idea "to just show up". - JM

what i mean is, not everyone is a racer.

i'm sure that's going to be fun for the guys that get terry's "mystery garage prizes".

she's been doing a great job for those guys lately.
the cool thing is.
we have two more like her.

doug's wife and ben's g.f. show up on occasion to drive.
neither one of those two are hard to look at either.

I think Mark's GF drove my truck for us and then there was another very cute girl driving large ford truck also that day. Gotta love WR! We can hardly get ugly guys to drive.

We have to take it.. one day at a time.........just one day at a time.:nonono:

This racing crap is getting in the way of my windrock visits.
Which makes it even worse as I have the new 40 enroute.:)

sounds like it's hit or miss with that boxxer team fork.
sounds like you can get a good one and love it.
or you can get a lemon that you can't "tune" to save your life.

Its a killer on a road bike. For a DH bike its probably sure death.

BTW Joey, Drop Out is pure sex right now.
I second that. Yesterday was the most fun I've had on that trail! Thank you Joey!

as i was working that trail yesterday.
i got to thinking about how it has three different personalities.

one, from the beginning down to z-cut.
two, from z-cut to the point.
three, from the point on down to the end.

definately the most unique trail we have.

I hear you on the Boxxer team fork. I have one that I can not get right. It will do drops great then suck on downhill then change up and blow through the travel on drops and rail the downhills.

What is the trail that you go down a steep shoot into a creek bed then ride that for about 30 yards. That one is nice but too wet when we were there.

that trail is always wet.
but since it's a rocky trailbed, it's nothing that our wheels destroy.

"selfsufficiancy"(lord only knows if that's spelled right.)

john's response was to a guy who's notorious for posting wacked out comments and then deleting them.. so now it just looks like he jumped in here while having a bad day and started railing away.
(not that there's anything wrong with that.)
